Highlights include The Government Inspector, Angels in America, Strange Interlude, Six Degrees of Separation, The Café Latte Kid, Tartuffe, Mourning Becomes Electra, A View from the Bridge, Othello, Boeing Boeing and Face to Face. Music theatre credits include Avenue Q, The Mikado, Follies, Little Shop of Horrors, Man of La Mancha, Urinetown, Oklahoma, Tomfoolery, Dusty, Little Me, Assassins, Kismet, The Producers, South Pacific and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum opposite Geoffrey Rush. Film/TV credits include The Broken Shore, Mr & Mrs Murder, Bordertown, Wildside, Grass Roots, Rake, The Bank, Two Hands, Dark City and AFI-nominated performances in Strange Fits of Passion and Gettin’ Square. Mitchell received Helpmann Awards for The Venetian Twins, Avenue Q and The Mikado and Green Room Awards for Hair and Piaf.

Mitchell has been a proud member of Actors Equity since 1988, is a member of the National Performers Committee and is also a Board member of Belvoir St Theatre.
